3) Get to the Getty ($)
Start smart with picnic pleasures from Literati Café, Brentwood or if you’re valley side, order a picnic from The Bistro Garden at Coldwater, Studio City + Ride the sleek monorail to the ear-popping top of The Getty Center, Los Angeles, where you’ll enjoy 180 degree views of L.A. ($15 parking fee, admission FREE!) + Explore Richard Meiers’ architectural wonder with a docent led tour of the grounds and museum (throughout the day) + Wind through the maze of The Central Garden before choosing a spot on the lawn for lunch + Finally, it’s dessert for the eyes when you view the gastronomic exhibit In Focus: Tasteful Pictures.
Not-To-Miss Event: The Maids, directed by Matthew Lillard, at The Moth Theatre. Familiar faces take the stage and give life to the dark Parisian play about fantasy and death.
